What is
dry blasting?

Dry blasting, also known as dry abrasive blasting or dry sandblasting, is a surface preparation technique used to clean, strip, or modify the surface of a material using abrasive media propelled by compressed air.

It is a highly effective method for removing contaminants, coatings, rust, or other unwanted materials from various surfaces.

Dry blasting is commonly used in industrial applications, automotive refinishing, construction, shipbuilding, and maintenance operations. It can be applied to a wide range of materials, including metals, concrete, wood, fibreglass, and plastics.

BENEFITS OF dry blasting

effective surface preparation

Dry blasting efficiently removes rust, coatings, scale, dirt, and other contaminants from surfaces. It provides a clean and properly prepared surface for further treatment, such as painting, coating, or bonding. By creating a roughened surface profile, it enhances the adhesion of subsequent coatings or adhesives.

Dry blasting can be applied to a wide range of materials, including metals, concrete, wood, fiberglass, and plastics. It is suitable for different shapes, sizes, and complexities of surfaces, making it a versatile surface preparation method.

our equipment

We use a Guyson Formula 1400 dry blasting cabinet.

The machine is large enough to handle most automotive, motorcycle, aeronautical and marine components once dismantled.
