The Refinishing Shop - Disclaimer

All components should come entirely dismantled and removed from any heavy grease or dirt. We don’t expect them to come perfect but they shouldn’t be dripping in oil. If it can be removed it should, this includes removing brackets, bolts and any other items branching off the component, all of which can be treated separately.

Where an item has moving parts such as bearings, they should be removed prior to blasting or replaced after blasting. Although we will always make the best effort to remove all media after the blasting process they may still be some residue, The Refinishing Shop cannot be held responsible for any residual blast media in the item and the failure of components due to ineffective cleaning before reinstating the item. Where an entire engine or head is blasted it is critical that you or the engine builder carries out a thorough final clean & check prior to assembly. We will not be held liable for any failure due to poor preparation.

We do not accept liability for damage caused to components supplied if they are not in a condition to withstand the blasting process. Please be aware, although the vapour blasting process can remove light paint & rust it will not remove heavy powder coating or rust which has already deeply pitted an item.

Where an item is made of a ferrous material will treat it with ACF-50 spray (anti-corrosion) however this is a temporary measure and it is the customer’s responsibility to treat ferrous surfaces ASAP after cleaning to avoid rusting.

Vapour blasting cleans on flow and not impact however very fine textures may be smoothed out.
